Maverick Transportation announced TJ Hargis of South Pittsburg, TN, as their Driver of the Month for October 2011. Hargis has been with Maverick 4 years and has spent his entire career as a professional truck driver with Maverick.

"TJ came to Maverick through our student driving program back in 2007," said Fleet Manager Rhonda Brignac. "Four years later, things have come full circle as he is now training Maverick's new student drivers and making great contributions to the success of our fleet."

The tenth recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2011, Hargis has proven himself a leader in the company's fleet. He serves as a driver instructor and has been honored with multiple safety awards. He cites, "everyone he works with treating him like family," as his favorite part of driving for Maverick.

Every month Maverick recognizes a driver from the company's fleet who takes pride in his profession and the company, employs safety, and maintains Maverick standards in all they do.  Employees vote from the twelve Drivers of the Month and the Driver of the Year will be announced at the end of 2011.  As Driver of the Month, Hargis will also represent Maverick drivers on the prestigious Driver Advisory Council.
